At my house

We're quietly recovering from the last round of holidays.  There's a mountain of laundry to be done, and I did a massive shop today.  It's all very mundane, but I'm feeling that must be the calm before the storm.  We're consigning our lives to cardboard boxes--again--in anticipation of our upcoming move.  The hardest part of moving, for me, is the limbo of it, and we're hurtling headlong in that direction.  I'm clinging to the everyday, the routine, to keep myself from dwelling on it.

Pop over to LouLou's to see what everyone's up to...

  2. Oh yes, moving with lots of children, we do it every 2 years, interstate. We haven't moved for almost 3 years this posting so i'm spending our Spring school holidays turning out the rooms & changing the children around into different rooms, so if/ when we do move, we're completely set & ready to go. Exhausting but gosh, amazing how much they grow out of, break & things you can toss!! Love Posie

  3. Oh moving is such a pain in the arse, and then I don't even have kids.
    Good luck Wendy.
thanks for the lovely comment before re Pikelet.
A Pikelet is little a small thickess pancake, although they taste a little different to pancakes. They are super yum, you can eat them warm or cold, usually with butter, jam, golden syrup etc. And often made as a snack not just breakfast here's a recipe link. xo http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/5757/pikelets

  6. Sounds like a regular Monday with lots of washing and shopping. I hope you got a few minutes to put your feet up as well.

All the best with the move. Not nice to be unsettled and in limbo.

Thanks for joining in again this week. Lou.

  7. Moving sure is hard work! Last time we moved, I had to do the lot myself, so a little each day, clearly labelled boxes and lots of off loading to the op-shop! I think the best part is having a good clean out. I hope it all goes well for you x

  9. I have been so terrible at visiting lately! So sorry! Thanks for popping by my blog and leaving comments, makes me feel less like I am keeping some odd kind of online diary! ;0) the workshop I did was with kids around 10-13 and they were incredibly keen. I would definetely do one again but I would allow more time, about 2 1/2 hours. I hope you are moving somewhere lovely? The pretty lake in your photo looks very peaceful. Thanks again for taking some time to pop by, I don't know how you do all you do. :0)
